The designated operator of Brazil, Correios, asks us to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that delays are to be expected in the processing of inbound and outbound EMS items as a result of industrial action being taken by Brazilian customs staff responsible for inspecting such items. Correios thanks all member countries for their understanding; it will update designated operators via EmIS once the situation has returned to normal.

Update 1/9/17:

Further to EmIS 115/2016 of 10 November 2016, the designated operator of Brazil, Correios, asks us to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that the industrial action taken by the Brazilian customs staff responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound EMS items has ended. The situation regarding accumulated EMS cargo will be resolved in the coming days.

Correios apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
